Happy March 1st! This morning the air smelled so sweet, the birds were chirping, tiny green sprouts of green have begun to poke out of the earth! I love spring! Spring is the time for growth and new life, as well as the time when many of us do our "spring cleaning". As you begin to freshen up your living space here are a few helpful tips to help breath new life into your home.
-Old wood chairs look amazing painted bright colors. When paired with a wood table, painted chairs really help the wood shine. Stick to one color or mix it up and choose several colors that will complement the other color palette in your home.
-Brighten up the inside of a dark china hutch with a light paint or contact paper.
-Change out some of your old lighting to add a new brightness to any space. Lighting in our homes can be so overlooked, but changing it up can add such a new flair.
- De-clutter book shelves, break up the book rows by placing a unusual object or vase with fresh flowers.
-Make a old dresser or cabinet shine with new knobs or handles.
- Give dull wood furniture a thirst quench with Beeswax, found at almost all hardware or home stores. I really like Howard's Feed n' wax with orange oil. Very natural and smells great. Brings out the natural luster of most wood finishes.
Our living spaces are our place to relax and unwind. With a few easy tips we can renew our space as the time of spring has sprung. Have a great day!
